Good news to art, antique and toy collectors ………. The Future Site for the Building Real Estate Investment for Collectors & Collectibles. Investment with a future……… Buenos Aires with a View and a Reason.

It often comes to my mind that life’s all about taking pleasure in the things you do. I’m an art & antique dealer, a collector in my own way. It comes from my heart, it’s an inner impulse. I enjoy very much a great item, interesting crafting, and the uniqueness in the things I own. I have collected items even before I was a dealer; all sort of interesting things that caught my eye. When I was a child, these actions of mine were referred as hobbies, now; I’m a collector, into collectibles. I don’t mind labels. Recently I got hold of several articles about investing in collectibles. And they where very enlightening articles. That pointed to different approaches to this way of investment. Throughout the article the author approached the pros and cons of investing in collectibles, the sales profits, the losses throughout time and the low return of your investment… It’s obvious; an item goes a long way before it’s appreciated as an antique or vintage item. For example, Christie’s –the famous British auction house- has just recently begun to auction 1970s vintage items. So, you can figure out how long you’ll have to wait… To us, collectors’, waiting isn’t a problem, and our collectibles are not just mere money investments of which we’re expecting a monetary return soon. Most of our returns are passionate feelings awaked by the beauty of the item we’ve acquired; non tangible profits are one of the best possible returns for a collector. The exact moment in which you spot the object of your affection, when you point it out from the crowd and decide it has to be yours, has no price. Collectibles go all the way from toys to scholar items, from stamps to sculptures, art pieces, vintage trains and antique cars… Indeed, our collectibles are investments. Of course these items can be bought and sold over and over, and in each transaction we can make some extra money. But investing in collectibles is not just about the money, and anyone who’s a collector knows what I’m talking about. We, collectors, invest our time and money not just in the purchase of the item in question but also in its conservation and also in its background history. Investing in collectibles is exiting and interesting. But I don’t think we look at this “investment” in monetary terms, at least not the whole of it. I think collectors are natural investors that consider the economical side as much as the emotional and non tangible ones. I’m thinking that at this moment its time marching my 2 pet projects together, The Buenos Aires Toy Museum and “www.frassinetti.biz” and so will be developed into them into a profitable Real Estate Trust Fund or Holding investment, thought by collectors for fellow collectors. The idea is simple; it would consist of purchasing a property in one of the small villages around the Northern corridor of Buenos Aires Province, the part of the Province that runs along the Pan-American Highway, some where from the North of San Isidro to North of Pilar City……. These are today’s most exclusive Real Estate areas and developing a boutique-gallery museum lodging. Named, “The Buenos Aires Art and Toy Museum Gallery. Trust Fund” A special location for collectors from all over the world who appreciate Argentinean made items –from vintage toys to art-, customized rooms exhibiting one of a kind collectibles, special experts on Argentinean collectibles arranging antique hunts to unknown and valuable markets within Buenos Aires, are just some of this investment’s attractive features. In terms of investments, Argentinean Real Estates is one of the most profitable ventures at the moment offering US Dollar gains and profits not in “pesos”.

As to the Real Estate project, future properties for extraordinary projects are available some 330 miles from down town B's A's, in one particular old and small nice villages where there is a slow life style..... so, I'm working with some new ideas, and I have decide to go big, think big and deal with this "big storm wave", I have .... I'm sure something will come out of it, I'm already about to work with an architect and get this idea drawn up and posted up on the web, as I know the world wide web see attachment.... I will use the "original building" as the main entrance and then build on to it a 2 floor wing of wood ....... for the "art & toy museum gallery"...... behind this on the land a small tent like building in the form of a "circus" where I can produce all kinds of social events, from marriages to art and antique shows, presentations of any new publicity item from cars to toys, and then across from that a small "wooden building" with 4 bedrooms with a common kitchen and lounge and common living quarters for the travels. Boutique like, small and innovated with revolutionary type architect... all under a legal "Trust Fund" so it can be bought and sold. Every day more tourist arrive down here, well, all the tourist need activity, and you would be surprised to know how many go either for a day or a night stay to some "estancia Farm " here in the country side, so what I would be offerings is this same service, but, in a "Art and Toy Museums Gallery" surroundings, where the traveller can chat about art and antiques, see the items even purchase some or at least see a "cultural side " that can be developed nicely .......... next week hope to have a meeting with an architect where I will be drawling up the buildings, future views on how it will look, and those kind of details. I have also talked to one German based Real Estate agent, who are looking for building projects.......

At this moment it’s already a on going Project, which I’m developing thru a Trust Fund that’s being set up. I’ll be follow up here with news and Architectural Plans for the ground sight as soon as they are available after meting up with the architects and Real Estate lawyers.

Rare and incredible objects, furniture, books, toys, artworks… all those antiques and collectibles you dream of can be found in Buenos Aires.
Once upon a time Buenos Aires was a very small port city with very little population surrounded by one of the world’s most fertile lands. Not too far away there were several other populations with very different traditions to the Spaniards who had populated this portside area. As the city grew and the Porteñan society evolved many Europeans chose Argentina to be their home. They immigrated with all their possessions from every corner of the old continent. This flow from Europe to Argentina first began in mid 19th century, and has never stopped till now. At the same time, as the world evolved –wars, economical possibilities, inspiration, were many of the causes that help other people chose our country as their own.
All of these new immigrants that were coming from Europe (Western and Eastern), Middle East, Asia and Africa, as well as many other Latin American countries, brought with them all kinds of objects, from paintings to mirrors and combs, from decorative items to all kinds of furniture, and so on.

This brief history of immigration in Argentina might help those that don’t know our country to understand a bit about the eclectic variety of items that can be found in this beautiful city that is Buenos Aires (specially Buenos Aires because it has always been the main gate to our great and beautiful country). Many of them were brought in immigration ships, many others were sent to these families from their homelands, some others were imported, and some other ones were the result of business among relatives who lived in their homelands and these new immigrants that were building a life in our Pampas. Those valuable family objects some times due to hard economic situations, or may be because there was no one to inherit them, have taken a path towards flea markets, auctions or antiques shops.

During the last few years there has been a huge turn in our economy, the peso (local currency) has lost much of its value in relation to the dollar and the Euro, this situation has impacted in many areas of our everyday life. On the dark side one of the biggest consequences of this economic shift has been an intense flow of goods towards all kinds of markets, in order to keep on with a certain lifestyle. Therefore many families have found themselves in a situation were they had to sell many of their family’s goods. On the bright side this new valuation of the peso has made of Argentina a more appealing place to visit for foreigners, since its much cheaper than many other big international metropolis though still shows all its splendor in its culture, art, fashion and good sense of living.

Our local flea markets, open fairs and antiques shops are open history books that show this turns in our lives.

Plus, these are excellent places to shop for those items all art lovers dream of, as well as an excellent opportunity for art dealers that wish to offer their regular clients high class items at reasonable prices.

One of the most beautiful open air markets in the city is in the historical neighborhood of San Telmo, that’s open all day during Sundays, from very early in the morning to late in the afternoon. Surrounded by countless antiques shops that open their doors to the public all week long, this fair is just beautiful, with very good quality items… Bargaining is always an interesting possibility when acquiring these type of objects, always a plus to get what you want at the price you want to.

In the outskirts of the city, the Solano fair is one outstanding market where if you have a sharp eye for antiques you can find absolutely amazing treasures. Since this fair is very much for locals you can find all from old clothes, semi used house goods, and whatever people had and needed to sell… Its always better to visit this outskirts out of the tourists path fair with a local, best if you know what you want but don’t have much time and your Spanish is not very good.

Back to the city, one excellent flea market is the Dorrego Market, in the heart of Palermo, very nearby a great restaurants area, this market has all kinds of items. Its just a matter of walking around and talking with the local people that are very kind and would gladly help you in your quest.

On the other end of the city, during the weekends there’s an other kind of flea market in Peru abajo. Located in the beautiful residential area of Acasusso you will find this fair has all kinds of decorative items and furniture, one of its specialties are chandeliers at very reasonable prices… High class and good prices, one excellent combo!

These are the most representative fairs and markets in BA. There’s nothing you can’t get, you name it, they have it… And of course, these are excellent sights when touring through the city of tango, ‘cause there are many different street shows that weekly chose those locations to show their art: tango, puppeteers, street theatre, live music, plus all kinds of local street food to enjoy during your walk, there’s no way that can go wrong!
